Now the only amusement
park on the National Register of Historic Places,

in the 1928 as the crown jewel in its collection
of public parks and recreation areas. The Playland's
280 acres are crowned themselves by an Art Deco
extravaganza containing ice skating rinks, picnic
areas, restaurants, swimming pool, beaches,
boardwalk and thrilling amusement rides.
What was created
was a fantastic family friendly amusement park
complete with all the thrills and entertainment
to provide great family fun. To this day, Rye
Playland continues to entertain and thrill children
and adults of all ages. Seven of the original
rides are still in operation taking you back
to a time when thrills were more easily had.
The incredible Art Deco architecture remains
intact, picnic groves are still waiting for
you and the beaches beckon you to visit.
Rye Playland may
be old in amusements but it remains eternally
young in enthusiasm. On a balmy summer day pack
