Perched on the eastern
shore of the Hudson River just north of Poughkeepsie,
the Culinary Institute of America dominates this streatch
of the Hudson. The main building looms high above
sparkling with its red brick and limestone facade
jeweled with its bright green awnings.
Closer down to the river,
and closer to the railroad tracks, the student dorms
line the precipice. Now how's that for a view from

to the CIA to learn the culinary arts and color the
whole area with their talent and vibrancy.
